ABOUT US

I'm just an old retiree who spent about 40 years in the PR business, mainly as the owner of my own PR agency, and 20 some years as a university adjunct professor, teaching writing, literature and international film classes.

I had the privilege of working for some terrific clients, from Blue Chip corporations, to universities and small businesses, and am indebted to the some 100 wonderful employees who worked for our agency over 25 years.

But in my older years, I have discovered I find equal enjoyment in making things with my hands (a lot let stressful than handling client PR crises, or producing videos and brochures under tight deadlines--or grading 25 student papers over a weekend).

It's just me--and the wood.  Which I have become somewhat obsessed with.

There are a lot of truly better woodworkers out there, whom I admire and continue to learn from.  I just try to make practical things that people can use in their homes--from a variety of domestic and exotic hardwoods ( am currently in my Black Limba stage).  I try to let the wood "speak for itself."

There is something special, even spiritual about wood.

If you share my passion, I would be happy to make something for you, perhaps as a gift for a friend or family member,  I make everything from turned vases and chess boards to Frank Lloyd Wright inspired clocks to minimalist Japanese furniture.

Don't ask me why, but charcuterie boards see to be all the thing these days.
